i know that i don’t regulary post on this but i just wanted to take a minute to tell you that i’m trying now to get back in the groove of things. but i can’t post at all now because of sandy. i live on long island (in new york) so the hurricane hit us pretty hard. it didn’t hit my town nearly as hard as some of the horror stories of new jersey, staten island, the fires in breezy point, and all that but still. we have no power and there’s no signs of it coming back any time soon. my neighbors have a generator and they’ve been very generous about us using it so we pretty much hang out there so we have some light! my entire town has no power including the main road plus all the businesses. i was able to get wifi because of the town next to us has power on their main roads so that’s a plus. i’m in a starbucks right now but i can’t do much seeing how crowded it is! i’m hoping for power next week but who really knows!!! my thoughts go out to all those on the jersey shore, staten island, breezy point, and all the other places where people lost their homes. i got very lucky considering i live pretty much right next to the water!! everyone affected, please stay safe!!!

this is my block, a tree fell from the house next store onto the house across the street’s lawn (and hit their cars) and made the pole in front of my house snap in half and the wires are just pretty much hanging everywhere and blocking my driveway and it’s hard to walk to my neighbors and everything. they said they’ll probably clean this up by the end of the week but not restore power for much longer :(

my backyard, a big tree & a lot of branches fell down, luckily nothing hit the house!!!
